I was really pleased with Bryony’s
creation of my design as she had only practised elements she felt she was
weaker in, such as the eyebrows. I feel
she followed my instructions well and did all the steps I listed.
She blocked out my eyebrows
considerably well considering they are so coarse and dark. When we practised I gave her some tips that I
had learnt at college on blocking out eyebrows, so she used those to help her.
I think she could’ve done better
on the lips, she was running out of time and I felt she had to slightly rush
the application. Bryony did keep
stepping away from her work to see where she had gone wrong on the lips and did
attempt to amend the lipstick with a cotton bud.
I felt the precision and
application of the drawn on eyebrows was amazing! They were so even I couldn’t fault them at
all, and they looked exactly like my facechart.
The arch was perfect on each brow.
I thought the hairstyle she
created was good, however she definitely excelled in the make up. I was hoping to have more of a fingerwave in
my hair, but that didn’t happen due to my own fault. I had written on my list for her to use the
medium sized curling tongs which create too big of a wave. I should’ve chosen the smaller curling tong
to use to get a smaller wave. However
Bryony thought on her feet and decided to twist the hair into a wave shape and
pin into place.
Overall, I was really happy with
Bryony’s look she created, she followed my instructions very well and remained
calm during the two hours. The pictures
came out great and they really show off the era I was try to create.
